Revisional Bariatric Surgery

Revision surgery is surgery for failed bariatric procedures, or complications that have arisen with bariatric procedures. Procedures that were commonly performed in the past may no longer be recognized as the standard of care. Some operations may have failed such as a Lap Band or gastric bypass. Most surgical revisions are performed laparoscopically. Having said that, not all revisions are performed surgically. Some may be repaired using endoscopic techniques. Some of these might be able to be performed in an outpatient fashion.
